Accessibility

LookerDress's commitment to accessible design, and how to report a problem.

Updated

This page has not yet been reviewed by counsel. Don't treat it as final until this notice is removed.

LookerDress aims to make this site usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as a screen reader, screen magnification or keyboard-only navigation.

Standard we're working toward

We design and build this site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) in mind. The target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a target, not a claim of conformance: the site's automated checks run the axe rules for WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA and for WCAG 2.2 Level AA over its pages, and automated checks cannot catch everything the guidelines ask. This is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time certification, and we welcome reports of anything that falls short.

What we do

  • Interactive controls are built to work with a keyboard alone and to show a visible focus outline.
  • Information is not conveyed by color alone.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • The site's automated checks run accessibility tooling over its pages at several screen widths; they run separately from the publishing step.
  • The Dress Finder, site search, the size tools, the cost-per-wear calculator and the forms, where they are offered, need JavaScript. Without it, the Dress Finder, search and size tool pages and the cost-per-wear calculator say so, and the guides stay readable.

Known limitations

No specific accessibility problem is known today. If one is found, it will be listed here.

Reporting a problem

The form on the contact page is not connected yet, so it cannot receive accessibility reports today, and no other contact method has been set up yet.
