Editorial Policy
How LookerDress decides what to cover, labels the evidence behind a pick, shows prices and handles corrections.

Needs legal review
This page explains how LookerDress makes editorial decisions. It applies to every style guide, buying guide and review on the site.
Editorial independence
Retailers and brands do not decide what LookerDress covers or recommends. The affiliate links described in the Affiliate Disclosure do not determine which products are featured or how they are described, and LookerDress does not publish sponsored placements presented as independent editorial.
How topics are organized
Coverage is organized around the questions a reader brings to a dress decision: an occasion, a dress code, a season, fit or budget.
Evidence labels
Each product carries one of these labels, shown beside it in article product cards and comparison tables, so no one has to assume a fitting took place when it didn't:
- Editor-selected: included without a fitting or product research behind it.
- Researched: selected from product information only, not tried on.
- A third label, for a product tried on in an in-person fitting, is used only when that fitting took place.
Every product record carries one of the first two labels: Editor-selected, listed without a fitting or product research, or Researched, chosen from product information only. Neither label means anyone tried the product on, and LookerDress never claims to have tried on a product no one tried on.
Prices and availability
Prices are entered by hand, not pulled from retailers automatically. Product cards show each price with the date it was recorded and mark a price more than 30 days old "Price may be outdated"; that age is computed when the page was built. Always confirm the price at the retailer. The Affiliate Disclosure has more on how retailer links and prices are shown.
Corrections
Each article shows the date it was published or last updated. [Placeholder: the corrections process, including how a correction is noted on the page, will be described here once confirmed.] The form on the contact page is not connected yet, so it cannot receive correction requests today.
Bylines
Jenisha Jonchhe is the author of every article on LookerDress. The "Written by" panel on each article links to her author page, which lists the articles credited to her.
